We were here in January 2001 and are returning in November 2001. We had a great time and looking forward to the next. We received a letter today confirming buidling work 60 metres from the reception area. Anyone have any other info.

Visited this hotel twice now and found it to be O.K. Not keen on the food, but looking at the places we could have stayed at en-route we thanked our lucky stars. Good views from both the places we had which was first on J-block then D-block the second time. Think your web-site is ace.

We are being re-located there from Playa del Taurito, because of the state of the hotel; I have noticed that there may building work at the Monsenor, but is it intrusive or annoying? the info you have put on this site is helpful, but are all the facilities available in winter?

we have had 3 wonderful holidays at the monsenor and hope to go again this year The food is good the rooms are comfortable and the views are magnificient. Our last trip was 5th Nov and met up with people from previous years.building workwere not a problem and certainly did not spoil our holiday

I will be going to the Monsenor on 15/06/02 for two weeks with my wife and 16 year old daughter. I would appreciate any ideas that anyone has with regard to good trips etc and whether you shold book via reps or can it be done cheaper locally like we did in Zante. Had a wonderful holiday at the Monsenor. No bloody KIDS, Fantastic. Mind you, when we got back on the coach to the airport the KIDS were in full swing! Never mind, they were not at the monsenor! It seems the building work is still very prominent and noisey. Coulod someone please give me an update as when we booked (Jan 02) we were not advised of this and I telephoned Direct Holidays after visiting this site and they said that it was all interior work that was being carried out now and it would cause no disturbance!! Hi i have just recently returned from the monsenor it was a nice relaxin holiday but not much to do! I am 20 and went with my mum so i wouldnt recomend anyone else in this situation this hotel. The Bar staf were very nice Oh and Alex is still there he has a side kick Ali now. The entertainment team were really good they are now Sarah and Rick (he is lovley) All in all i had a nice holiday

just viewed your site wish i had known about it before i went would maybe have been pepared for all the hills and stairs they were a bit of a nightmare enjoyed the food,company and liked the room but hated the location could just have got back on the bus and went home when i saw the place, dont known why people return year after year

I just arrived home from Monsenor a couple of days ago. I had a really good holiday. Great for relaxing, but if it gets a bit too quiet, the taxi is only about £2 into Puerto Rico. The entertainment staff were really good. Rick is very funny. I was there for 1 week, but i wish i was there a bit longer.

There is building work going on directly outside the hotel but i could not hear it at all from the top pool. When i was there (last week), a few people were complaining, but the majority of the people didn't think that it was a big deal. You can hear it if you go to one of the quiter pools, but thats it. During the siesta hours, the builders stopped working and it was therefore quiet. We were previously warned about the building work before we booked so that might be why it didn't bother us, but i really don't think it will hinder anyone's holiday.

We had a great time and found the entertainment staff Rick, sarah and now Zara to be very good. They put in a lot of effort and helped get everyone to know each other.There was some building work at the bottom of the hill but we found it was Ok and loud nosies were very rare.Its good to read the guest book and reviews from pepole you met on holiday, so keep up the good work (will do a review when I get time) thanks.

Just back from a two week holiday on 30/06/02. Enjoyed our stay overall considering that we got a good value late deal. We wouldn't have been so hapy if we had paid the full price. The Monsenor whilst holding its own as a 3 star accomodation certainly has some way to go if it wants to improve on that. Nevertheless, an enjoyable holiday had by all,and the friendliness of the other guests made the holiday rather than the input by hotel staff which was patchy. The Entertainment staff achieved a lot with a low budget. Well done to them. My review has been posted and should appear soon. Hope you enjoy your stay

came home from monsenor on the 28th of june had a great time as for the building works was going on outside but we didnt notice a thing. we didnt like rick much but new girl zara was in her first week and she was great we are keeping in touch. as for the staff make friends with ali g he is good fun, also for us young ones it was only 4 euro's in a taxi to puerto rico lots of bars there and if u go there go to SPACE "space is the place" as ali g allways said to us when he was draging us out till 7AM. would go back just to see him again!!!

Great site!!Just returned from the Monsenor (14/07/2002). Just to let you know that there are no longer copius amounts of umbrellas. In fact, there is a vast shortage.There is a lot of building work outside the hotel from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm Mon - Fri. As they are building a 3 hotel complex below the Monsenor.But, saying this it didn't spoil our stay.

Went on the 12th of October for a week. Had an absolutely cracking time. Went in a group of 10 (The Monsenor Mackems - if anyone was there at the same time they'll know us!!) Food was excellent, rooms were good, the building work did not bother us one bit, weather was superb, the staff were really helpful - a big thanks to Osvaldo up at the cave bar who is a real star! Lee and Phil did a grand job with the entertainment, kept us busy all day with the various activities, which 9 times out of 10 we won, and they did very well on a night with a very limited budget. Looking forward to going back some time soon.

MATT & I had an excellent week @ monsenor (14th - 21st October). Back to my sun bed 'til the next holiday!! This is a message for Sue H. We have just returned from the Monsenor and can honestly say that the building work is NOT an issue. It cannot be seen or heard from the top of the hotel and the noise and dust is at a minimum. I will be updating the site soon with more info. Just got back from the Monsenor checked out Saturday 25th May, had a great time,found this site really useful prior to going, read the reports all the information was spot on.New what to expect, Photos at 6:00am and all the steps and the map to the room but you soon find your way around. All the staff work very hard and are very friendly towards the guests especially Dante, Oswaldo,Jimi ad Ramero.Would go back for the right price, got a week of in October so who knows.

Was looking for a reasonably priced holiday and found this Hotel.Further investigations about the hotel led me to this site!! What a fantastic site you have put together. It leaves you in no doubt as to what to expect whilst you are there( including any minor downsides )

Sat here with Merv who we met in Playa Del Cura, we were all stopping at the Monsenor. Made loads of friends during our time there. Donna and myself stopped there for a month while working at the Waterloo Bar(recommend this bar after the blue wrist band as run out for those who are staying all inclusive!)there is always a karaoke every night a quiz and lots of laughs guaranteed, also the bar staff are quality and so is the owner Warner. Whilst at Monsenor we met Gaby(Starbuck) and Meesha(the reps) who provided all the fun and entertainment & The crazy reception man who constantly had us in stiche's(you will know the one when u see him). Thanks for bringing back memories with your website!

On our 3 visits to the Monsenor the daytime entertainment has been fine catering for all age groups. However, the evening entertainment was mainly of ADULT content. Hope you have a great time and try not to worry. Your girls will be fine!

Arrived back yesterday after 2 weeks at the monsenor and I'm feeling the cold here in England! Met some super people and had such great laughs. The Waterloo is a great place to go for karaoke and a drink, highly recommended. The entertainers Gaby and Meeshia did a great job and I really miss that lazy lifestyle! GO DO ONE!! GOT YOUR NUMBER!! We've been twice to Monsenor. The first time in January 1994 where we conceived our son. The second in October 2002 where we met a great couple from Tranent who were on their honeymoon (Alison & Graham). They have become good friends of ours all thanks to the Monsenor. Alison last week gave birth to their first son, so good luck to the three of them. Lee the entertainer hope you have got rid of that embarrassing dose that you had down stairs. Just returned from the monsenor today. had a great time as friends of nam . bt,beano etc you all made the first week of our hols fab. 2nd week felt like a saga hol would like to know if you all going again. can reccomend it to anyone who likes certificates.meesha, gabby got one each this week, cause we stitched them up good and proper and you guys would have loved it.Sandy now plans to build a house for his 300 certificates due to lack of comp.

We had a lovely holiday at Monsenor. My son, wife and baby are booked to go in May 2004. The sea at Playa del Cura was fab and we went in every day.
