The Beach

There are 2 beaches close by. The nearest is a 10-minute walk away. Only went there once to have a look around. We are not that keen on lying on the sand, as it tends to get everywhere, if you know what we mean! We preferred to stay around the pools of the Hotel. The beach is a mix of sand and rocks with some of these rocks just below the waterline, so be careful if you go swimming or paddling. We didn't do either. You can learn to SCUBA dive here as they have training almost everyday. No idea on cost though, as we didn't venture over to where it was taking place. The beach was never crowded and this maybe due to the Amadores beach being close by.

The Amadores beach is man made and just a short stroll away from Playa Del Cura, heading towards Puerto Rico. There are ample sun loungers both on the sand and on a concrete perimeter wall, for those of you who don't like the sand! There are also bars, shops and restaurants.

In the photo below, you can see both the local beach and the Amadores, which is horseshoe shaped in the centre right.
