Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is where it all happens. Quite a lot to see and do. A very busy resort and only a stone's throw from Playa Del Cura. A 10-minute taxi journey will cost you about 600pts and take you to one of two centres. The commercial Centre is the largest and located at the bottom of the valley and the Europa Centre is up on top of the west side. It's a long walk up to the top so just jump in one of the many taxis and go visit. Both centres have ample shops, bars with varied entertainment and some bars are open 24/7, restaurants, take away and chemists. Even a Macdonald's! For the more adventurous, there is an aqua park here. Didn't go ourselves, but our friends did and said it was fantastic! Very clean and well organised, food and drinks were also competitively priced. There are also quite a few boat trips from PR. Take a look around it's quite good. Beware of the African Ladies. They will approach you and grab your arm, tie a band around your wrist and ask for money! If you do see them, try not to make eye contact and cross the road if possible. If they do grab you, just scream for the police and they will scarper! Also watch out for Time-Share Touts. Be polite but firm and they will not give you any bother. Best excuse we heard "Sorry mate I leave here in 2 hours" will do the trick nicely!
